A visible symbol of support at Omega 365

At Omega 365’s headquarters, the Pride flag was raised this year ahead of Norway’s National Day on May 17 – a clear sign of the company’s support for diversity, inclusion, and the right to love whoever you choose. In a time when many still don’t feel safe expressing who they are, such symbols carry real significance.

“By raising the Pride flag, Omega 365 acknowledges its role in the wider community,” says Sigmund Lunde, Chairman of the Board at Omega 365.

“Flying the Pride flag alongside the Norwegian flag on our National Day is a reminder that freedom means more than protection from external threats. It also includes the freedom to be yourself – and to feel safe, respected, and accepted for who you are,” says Sigmund Lunde, Chairman of the Board at Omega 365.

This message is also central to the film TRYGG (“SAFE”), which premiered in connection with Oslo Pride 2025 and has received considerable attention in Norway. The film highlights how small, visible gestures – like a rainbow flag on a building or a pin on a jacket – can carry great meaning. They signal that love, identity, and diversity are welcome, even in places where that hasn’t always been the case.

At the same time, recent years have seen a rise in hate crimes targeting LGBTQ+ individuals in Norway – a clear reminder that the fight for equality and safety is not over.

“By raising the Pride flag, Omega 365 acknowledges its role in the wider community. It’s about more than symbols – it’s about helping create a society where everyone feels safe, all year round. Diversity and inclusion shouldn’t just be words in a strategy. They must be visible, practiced, and part of how we work – in 2025 and beyond,” Lunde concludes.
