A weekend in Alta with Advantage

As part of the Advantage program, a group from Omega 365 recently spent a weekend in Alta in the far north of Norway, where Northern Lights, Arctic climate, dramatic landscapes, unique accommodation, and rich cultural traditions created a memorable experience

The weekend combined inspiring activities with time to connect and explore, along with space for informal knowledge sharing and discussions across teams. A highlight was the stay at the Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel, rebuilt each year and offering a truly unique overnight experience. With temperatures just above freezing, the setting added an extra layer of authenticity, from warm sleeping bags to the distinct atmosphere inside the ice hotel.

Some chose a snowmobile safari across the Finnmark Plateau, while others experienced Sami traditions through reindeer sledding. Both groups enjoyed stunning nature, bright sunshine, and a relaxed, social atmosphere. Shared meals and conversations helped bring everyone closer together, while also providing a natural arena for exchanging experiences and perspectives across disciplines.

Experiences like this reflect the essence of the Advantage program by bringing colleagues together outside the workplace, strengthening relationships, and creating shared memories that support collaboration and engagement long after the trip ends.
