Aker BP renews contract for Pims products

Aker BP has renewed its contract with Omega 365 Solutions. This partnership ensures ongoing support and collaboration, utilizing resources from various locations.

Aker BP is a company actively involved in oil and gas exploration, field development, and production on the Norwegian continental shelf. It operates six field centers: Alvheim, Ivar Aasen, Skarv, Edvard Grieg, Ula, and Valhall. Additionally, Aker BP is a partner in the Johan Sverdrup license. With regards to production, Aker BP is recognized as one of the largest independent oil companies in Europe.

Arild Røksund, Department Manager of Omega 365 Solutions in Stavanger, expressed enthusiasm for the ongoing collaboration, stating, “We are excited about this journey. Our combined efforts from Stavanger, Bergen, Oslo, and Lithuania will ensure that we meet expectations.”

The renewed contract includes the delivery of the complete Pims solution products, along with a substantial first-line support apparatus. Currently, as many as 40 individuals from Omega 365 Solutions are collaborating with Aker BP. 

This contract renewal signifies the continuation of a successful partnership between the two companies. The updated contract was signed in mid-May 2023, following the expiration of the previous agreement established in May 2017. 

A committed team

“The Omega 365 team provides resources to Aker BP from various departments and locations, including Bergen, Oslo, Lithuania, and others. These resources are organized into several major teams, such as Support, Integration, and Portal Deployment,” Røksund explained. 

The contract renewal comes with a three-year duration and automatic renewals every year.

To celebrate the contract renewal, the Omega 365 team at Aker BP came together and enjoyed a celebratory cake.
