Apprentices bring IT concepts to life in KLAR app collaboration
To give students across Norway a realistic view of IT development in practice, KLAR Kompetanse recently visited Omega 365 in Haugesund to develop content for a new digital learning module in the IT Developer trade.

During the visit, Omega 365 apprentices took part in a photoshoot illustrating key concepts from real work situations. The images will be included in the KLAR app, giving users across Norway a clearer understanding of IT tasks in practice.
The apprentices shared their everyday experiences and demonstrated how theory comes to life on the job. For Omega 365’s apprentices, including Izellah Johannesen, it was a chance to contribute to a project that can inspire others to explore opportunities in IT.
“Being an IT Developer apprentice has been an incredibly rewarding experience, allowing me to learn and grow in ways I hadn’t imagined. I’m especially passionate about inspiring others to consider a path in IT Development. I’m grateful for the collaboration we’ve had with KLAR Kompetanse, which has given us the opportunity to share what it truly means to be an IT Developer and what a typical day looks like for us,” reflects Izellah.
The KLAR app project was a great way for apprentices to help shape resources for the next generation. Hilde Vikse, Founder and CEO of KLAR Kompetanse, highlights that the collaboration has greatly improved the quality of the app and its resources.
“We at KLAR have greatly benefited from our collaboration with Omega. Their skilled apprentices have participated as models and contributed to the development of relevant and realistic images in the KLAR app. This has been crucial for the quality of the learning resources we are developing,” says Hilde.
Omega 365 has a long tradition of welcoming apprentices in Haugalandet. Each year, new apprentices join Department Manager Vidar Nordnes and his team in Haugesund, and many continue in full-time roles after completing their training. Over time, this approach has built a strong, diverse workplace where learning and professional growth go hand in hand.
“It’s great to see our apprentices step up and give back. At Omega, we all have a role to play in inspiring the next generation of IT professionals, and working hands-on with partners like KLAR is a great way to make that happen,” adds Vidar.
