“Completion management is about ensuring that all components and systems in a project are tested, verified, and documented according to specifications and requirements,” explains Ramsvik.

“This requires close collaboration across various disciplines to ensure everything functions as intended. The goal is to minimize risks, deviations, and errors, and to deliver a project that meets the expected quality and functionality, ready for handover to the owner in a timely manner.”

The product provides clients with a comprehensive overview of checklists, inspections, tests, and handover procedures. It tracks the status of completed tasks, identifies deviations, and highlights the outstanding work.

Well-structured checklists are crucial in all phases of a project, where quality and safety are paramount to avoid issues during the operational phase. This tool helps project management maintain better control, reduce the risk of errors, and ensure a smooth handover.

Valuable across industries

Omega 365 serves clients in industries such as oil and gas, transportation, construction, and renewable energy.

“The oil and gas sector has been a key client group for many years, but over the past eight years, we’ve made it a strategic priority to expand our solutions into other industries. Completion management is just as critical in other sectors since the processes for testing, verification, and handover of large and complex projects demand similarly high standards for quality and safety,” says Ramsvik.

Creating value

Ramsvik’s interest in development and gaming started early.

“I remember deleting my parents’ accounting program to make space for more computer games,” he says with a smile.

“That curiosity was the foundation that eventually led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science in Stavanger.”

Since joining Omega 365 in 2005, Ramsvik has worked in both development and product management. His motivation is clear:

“It’s about ensuring our clients are satisfied and seeing how our systems make a tangible difference in their projects. I want my work to create real value.”

Ramsvik also emphasizes the importance of a positive work environment.

“The social aspect is fantastic, and combined with opportunities for professional growth, it’s a big part of why I enjoy my work so much,” he concludes.
