Omega 365 nominated as Company of the Year

Omega 365 has been nominated as Company of the Year. The awards are held annually by the Norwegian Business Association of Haugalandet; the winner will be announced during the Haugaland conference in Haugesund on 10 March.

According to Lauren McPherson Simonsen, it was a great experience to bring together managers from various business areas to present Omega 365.

Petter Aalvik, CEO in Omega 365, is pleased that the company is one of four nominees.

“It is an honor to be nominated,” says Aalvik.

Presented the company

Aalvik, Corporate Communication Manager, Lauren McPherson Simonsen, General Manager in Omega 365 Solutions, Svein Tore Haraldseid, General Manager in Omega 365 Consulting, Anders Lunde, and Department Manager at the Haugesund office, Vidar Nordnes, presented the company to the jury last week.

According to Simonsen, it was a great experience to bring together managers from various business areas to present Omega 365.

“One of the best things about being nominated is the opportunity to communicate the wonderful work our employees do in many areas, both in this region and around the world.”

“By having the opportunity to talk about everything from local and global contracts, to sustainable project completion, and the importance of taking care of employees with unique welfare offers, we hope the jury was left with a good understanding of what we work for and stand for,” says Simonsen.

Global company

The jury emphasizes that Omega 365 is a global company offering software development services, project personnel, engineering and architecture, design and communication, and IT consultancy services. Although the head office is in Ølensvåg, Omega 365 has regional offices in Bergen, Stavanger, Stjørdal, Kristiansund, Oslo, Tønsberg, and Haugesund. Internationally, Omega 365 is located in Denmark, Sweden, Great Britain, USA, Canada, Guyana, Australia, Lithuania, France, and Singapore.

“Omega's mission to be "Big enough to deliver, small enough to care" extends beyond the organization's borders and is demonstrated through a strong focus on social responsibility, both locally and internationally," the jury writes in a statement.

Exciting nominations

The companies that are nominated in addition to Omega 365 are the glove manufacturer, Granberg, RTS, which supplies electronic engineering solutions to the underwater industry, and Ydra, which produces tailor-made pump systems for companies operating in the ocean space.

A criterion for the nominations is that the company must have its headquarters in Haugalandet, have a good financial foundation and economic development, and be a leader or innovator in its business area. A strong focus on sustainability as well as the company's ability to build regional networks is also evaluated.
