Welder/Fabricator
Responsibilities:
Perform welding for signage frames, structural supports, brackets, and mounting systems.
Fabricate metal components used in signage construction including frames, supports, brackets, and structural mounts.
Conduct light fabrication welding including hollow sections, mild steel, and aluminum where applicable.
Ensure structural integrity of all fabricated components before installation.
Cut, shape, and prepare metal materials for fabrication according to design specifications.
Read and interpret technical drawings to accurately measure and fabricate components.
Assemble and test-fit signage structures to ensure proper alignment before finishing.
Assist with installing signage frames, brackets, and metal supports on-site.
Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment safely.
Inspect fabricated components to ensure quality and structural integrity.
Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, and maintain a clean workspace.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a welder or metal fabricator
Experience working with hollow sections and light structural welding
Familiarity with signage fabrication or structural frame building
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
Maintain high standards of workmanship and structural integrity
Work collaboratively with sign technicians and installation teams
Reliability and punctuality and professionalism
Technical certification in welding or fabrication is an advantage but not mandatory if practical experience is demonstrated.
Note: The role may require lifting heavy materials and equipment and involve exposure to heat, sparks, and fabrication tools.
