Sign Technician
Responsibilities:
Assist to assemble and finish signage products according to design specifications.
Prepare materials (acrylic, aluminum, PVC, metal, vinyl) for signage production.
Support production teams with cutting, shaping, and assembling sign components.
Prepare and assemble illuminated signage components where applicable.
Apply adhesive vinyl graphics to surfaces, ensuring proper adhesion and alignment.
Trim and align vinyl graphics to design standards; assist with lamination and protective finishes.
Install and assemble various signage types, including wall signs, storefronts, light boxes, and window graphics.
Assist in the setup of expo booths for conferences and exhibitions.
Conduct site preparation and install signage using appropriate tools, mounting systems, and safety procedures.
Assist with electrical connections and lighting installations for illuminated signage.
Safely operate and maintain power tools, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment.
Inspect completed signage for quality and ensure installations meet client and company standards.
Requirements:
Experience in signage fabrication or installation
Experience applying vinyl graphics or wraps
Basic understanding of electrical wiring for signage lighting
Strong manual and technical skills
Experience working with power tools and fabrication equipment
Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings
Good measurement and alignment skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Problem-solving ability in field installation situations
Note: May require working at heights using ladders or scaffolding and lifting and transporting signage materials.
