One of our clients is looking for a PIMS Certification Engineer, preferably based in Aberdeen or elsewhere in the UK, to work on site in Aberdeen.

Assignment Description

The PIMS Certification Engineer will support the Commissioning team in the preparation and verification of RFO requests, while facilitating and expediting the handover process. The role will also provide general support to the Commissioning team, including reporting and other related activities.

  • Support Commissioning Leads in preparing Handover Requests for RFO and assist in verifying the readiness of subsystems for handover to Operations.

  • Facilitate and expedite the handover process to ensure a smooth, efficient, and timely transition.

  • Follow up on and expedite outstanding RFO deliverables from Engineering, Construction, and MC teams.

  • Support the Commissioning team by taking ownership of routine activities and daily administrative tasks.

  • Provide input to daily and weekly Completion status reports.

  • Assist in compiling and consolidating daily and weekly Commissioning reports.

  • Support the maintenance and updating of the PIMS plan, including checking and releasing Work Orders for execution.

  • Provide end-user support and training for PIMS

  • Maintain and update training materials, procedures, and guidelines for the PIMS CMS and PES modules.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and optimization of project work processes and digital interfaces.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in roles such as Commissioning Engineer, MC Coordinator, Field Engineer, or similar. Extensive relevant experience may compensate for limited formal education.

  • Strong computer skills and a good understanding of databases; knowledge of SQL is preferred.

  • Extensive experience with PIMS CMS, preferably as a Super User on large and complex offshore projects.

  • Good knowledge of PIMS PES is preferred.

  • Basic understanding of planning principles is an advantage.

  • Detailed knowledge of completion dossier development, structure, and content requirements.

  • Service-oriented, proactive, and responsive with a strong focus on supporting project needs.

  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively and support team decisions.

  • Able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in accordance with project requirements.
