Most of the participants generally work at Omega 365's departments and client sites throughout the west of Norway. They took this opportunity for a mini vacation during the advent season. At Solstrand, they enjoyed a delightful and relaxing pre-Christmas getaway amidst beautiful surroundings. The Solstrand Hotel & Spa, established in 1896, is a traditional spa hotel with magnificent views of the Bjørnafjord and the Kvinnherad Alps. Located about a half-hour drive south of Bergen, the hotel is known for good food, excellent service, and bathing facilities both outdoors and indoors.

Friday evening began with a gathering and a welcome drink in the reception area before the group proceeded to the restaurant. The menu featured delicious Norwegian cuisine, including halibut, venison, and a rich dessert buffet. On Saturday, with beautiful winter weather, guests were free to spend their time as they pleased. Some embarked on Christmas errands in Bergen, while others enjoyed a leisurely walk in the nearby area or savored lunch in the quaint town of Os. Additionally, some took advantage of the opportunity to book various spa treatments or massages offered by the hotel. Many guests made the most of the hotel's facilities, which included a variety of saunas, pools with different temperatures, and even braved a dip in the ice-cold fjord for a refreshing sea bath. For many, a highlight was swimming out of the hotel in one of the warm baths and looking out over the fjord and the white mountain peaks.

The dinner on Saturday evening was traditional Norwegian Christmas dish. The Omega 365 group met for a small aperitif before entering a cozy private room where the menu was presented. There, they had lobster for starters and lamb ribs from the west coast as the main course. Afterwards, they could indulge in the rich selection at the dessert buffet. All in all, the trip was a culinary experience with good conversations and a relaxed atmosphere.
