Last September, two of our Omega 365 Solutions Department managers in Stavanger, Jakob Henrik Nilsen and Trygve Ålbotsjold, started a hiking club. Since then, the club has been steadily growing, and they now have a total of six members. Together, they have embarked on several hikes in Norway, including Preikestolen, Lifjell and Dalsnuten. They also have plans to take on the seven-summit trip in Sandnes, Norway, this August.

“The club organizes both shorter and longer trips, ensuring that everyone can participate and enjoy the experience. The hiking pace is always adjusted to accommodate all participants' abilities and preferences,” said Nilsen.

Last weekend, the hiking club explored Flørlitrappene, located on the south side of Lysefjorden in Strand municipality, near Stavanger. This staircase stretches over a length of 1470 meters, ascending from sea level to Ternevatnet, with an elevation gain of 740 meters. Comprising a staggering 4444 steps, Flørlitrappene stands as one of the longest staircases in the world.
